Jerome C. Williams, Jr. was born in the State of New York (Brooklyn) & raised in Long Island (Valley Stream). After graduating from St. Francis College (N.Y.) with a B.S. in Biology, he worked as a Paralegal at the Law Firm of Weitz & Luxenberg located in downtown Manhattan. It was there he had the opportunity to focus in the area of Personal Injury. The following year, Mr. Williams went on to pursue his dream as a lawyer, and attended the Ohio Northern School of Law in Ada, Ohio. He had the unfortunate task of deciding whether to continue rooting for the New York Knicks, once the Nets moved their franchise from Newark, NJ to Brooklyn, NY. While it was a tough decision, he decided to stay loyal and continue rooting for his New York Knicks (although for the past few years he continues to question his decision).
Throughout Law School, he has demonstrated a willingness to assist those that are underprivileged, and in need of legal assistance. With this experience, he is able to handle each client's case with diligence, due care, and compassion, no matter how difficult the situation may be.
In addition, he is actively involved in his community, volunteering his time to the following organizations:
- Bay Area Legal Services (October 2012- Present)
- Community Law Program
- Divorce Attorney St. Petersburg, FL (Contested, Uncontested)
- Family Forms Clinic
- Gulfcoast Legal Services
- Clearwater, FL Pro Bono Family Law Attorney
- Landlord/Tenant Lawyer
- Tenant Evictions
As a result of his ongoing commitment to assisting those underprivileged, he has received the following awards from Community Law (Located in St. Petersburg) and Bay Area Legal Services (Located in the Tampa Bay & surrounding areas):
